Twittered Quotes

Bloggers seem to be fixated on list. I frequent design blogs, and everyday I see blog post with titles such as 35 Beautiful Photography Websites, and 50 Creative and Inspiring 404 Pages, and The 4 essential web writing tips. I can see the appeal of numbered list, but it’s just not my thing.

Nevertheless, I have a few quotes I would like to share, but I refuse to number them and title this post “10 quotes I like.” I’m taking a stand.

A little while ago I decided to use Twitter, but instead of posting what I’m doing every hour, or using it as a means of self promotion, I decided to post a quote everyday—about anything. I don’t always agree with the quotes, but if I find them interesting I’ll post it.

For me, the results have been great. I have a reason to really think everyday, since I analyze every quote and decide where I stand on the person’s thought before I post it. I try to think of why this person believes what they do and why, and also why I agree or disagree and why. And since I also post the quotes on my Facebook page, I get to see what my friends find interesting.

The following quotes are all from my Twitter page, in the order they were tweeted—the most recent tweets are at the top.
